Psychology Support to Help You to Thrive

Elliott is an experienced performance coach and psychologist. Through The Thrive Academy, he offers individual support in three ways:


  1. Individual performance psychology support for athletes and coaches to help you thrive in your role.
  2. Individual coaching and mentoring for those who support athletes and want to do so in psychologically informed ways.
  3. Psychology Clinics where you can arrange a 30- or 60-min discussion to explore a specific aspect of performance psychology.

The rate for individual psychology support or coaching and mentoring support is £100 per hour.

Psychology Clinics are offered at the reduced rate of £80 per hour.

PERFORMANCE PSYCHOLOGY SUPPORT

Working with a performance psychologist can help you with a range of factors related to the mental side of performance. Our goal is to support you to achieve high levels of performance, well-being and growth throughout your journey.


Examples of topics you might work with a performance psychologist on include:

- Strategies to achieve peak performance,

- Strategies to overcome performance slumps,

- Mental skill development to support your progression,

- Personal exploration, understanding and growth,

- Personal well-being and positive mental health,

- Support during transition periods throughout your career, including retirement.


When done well, performance psychology can support you to explore your potential as a person as well as a performer and live a purposeful and fulfilled life. 


COACHING AND MENTORING

There is so much psychology that is involved in coaching, leading and supporting others.


Working with a performance psychologist in a coaching and mentoring capacity can help you to enhance your knowledge and skill in working with the psychology inherent in your practice.


If you are a coach, a leader, a sport science practitioner, or a parent, you may benefit from individual support in order to:

- Explore why a particular relationship isn't quite working at the moment,

- Learn effective communication and ways to build productive relationships,

- Build mental skill development into your practice,

- Enhance your insight that enables you to appropriately balance challenge and support,

- Recognise (and review) your own mental models of psychology and how they shape your practice.

-  Develop effective reflective and decision-making skills to enhance your practice.
