OUR LEARNING ACTIVITY FOR COACHES

A great coach can change a life.

The role of the coach is complex and nuanced, meaning that coaches are in need of support to help them excel in this role.

The Thrive Academy offer a series of community based learning experiences for coaches who want to explore how performance psychology can help them as coaches and as people.

We call this our Psychologically-Informed Coach series.

There are three parts in the series, each lasting 6 months, that use a combination of live workshops, peer group sense-making, and 1:1 support.

You can learn more about each of the three parts below.

PSYCHOLOGY FOR COACHES

In this series, we explore practical ways by which coaches can thrive as people and performers in their role.

OUR LEARNING ACTIVITY FOR PATHWAY PEOPLE

Supporting You to Nurture Talent

The psychology of young, aspiring athletes calls upon those who shape their pathways to be psychologically informed. A well thought-out and supported performance pathway can be fruitful environments for the development of a range of psychological factors.

To support Pathway People in delivering developmentally appropriate experiences, we have designed our Psychology in the Pathway e-learning programme. This programme is for anybody who has a role to play in designing and delivering the Performance Pathway in your sport/club.

Our aim is to share our extensive experience in working within various Performance Pathways to support you to work in psychologically informed ways. Our experience suggests doing so can accelerate athlete progression, enhance the efficiency of training programmes, support positive performance culture, and reduce unnecessary athlete drop out.

Our programme will be live in the Autumn of 2023.
